Dr. Tara H. Ransdell is committed to providing comprehensive eyecare with a friendly touch. Dr. Ransdell purchased Peoria Eye Care on December 1, 2005. Her
eyecare includes fitting specialty contact lenses, co-managing LASIK and cataract patients, and treating eye infections. Tara grew up in northern Minnesota. After high school, she simply crossed the river and attended the University of North Dakota. While at UND she was named to the President's List, and also competed on the women's basketball team. In 2000, she graduated from the Illinois College of Optometry, located in Chicago. While in Chicago, she discovered a love for running, and competed in 4 marathons

Dr. Jeffrey Girardin joined Horizon Eye Specialists & Lasik Center in 1999 and provides routine eye care and contact lens fittings as well as pre- and
post-operative care of refractive and cataract surgery cases. In addition, he has extensive experience in diagnosing and treating ocular diseases, including glaucoma and cataracts. Dr. Girardin graduated from Nebraska Wesleyan University in Lincoln, with a Bachelor of Science in Biology. He received his Doctor of Optometry from the Illinois College in Chicago. Dr. Rockwell graduated from Indiana University in Bloomington with a Bachelor of Arts in Biology in 1991. He then graduated from Indiana University School of
Optometry in 1995 as a member of the Beta Sigma Kappa Honor Fraternity. He took the additional step in training by completing a residency in Ocular Disease and Surgical Co-Management at the Eye Institute of Utah in Salt Lake City. Dr. Rockwell is an active member of the American Optometric Association and the Arizona Optometric Association (AZOA). He was selected as the AZOA’s “Young Optometrist of the Year” in 2004, and served as President in 2006. Furthermore, he is a long-serving board member, and past President, of the Arizona Friends of Talking Books, the charity associated with the Arizona State Braille and Talking Book Library
