Biography:
Born in Duncan Oklahoma, 1944, John grew up in Iola, Kansas. He attended the University of Kansas, where he earned a B.A. in 1966. He was awarded a J.D. from the University of Kansas School of Law in 1969, and an L.L.M from New York University in 1973. He was admitted to the bar in Kansas in 1969.
John joined Arthur-Green, LLP in 1973. He is an experienced civil litigator, representing corporations and individuals in cases such as personal injury defense, workers compensation law, real estate litigation, and creditor’s rights. He also has extensive experience with the development of condominium projects and commercial real estate development. John is a trained mediator, and is frequently requested by other attorneys to assist them with alternative dispute resolution. From 2005 to 2011, he was named a “Super Lawyer” by the Kansas City Business Journal in the area of personal injury defense. John has served as a board member of a variety of community organizations, including past board positions with the Manhattan Country Club; the Manhattan Rotary Club; the United Way of Riley County; the McCain Auditorium Board; the St. Mary Hospital Board (now Mercy Community Hospital); the Board of Governors, Univ. of Kansas Law Society; and the Mercy Community Hospital Foundation. He currently serves on the Kansas Board for Discipline of Attorneys.
